For this assignment, we were tasked to make a mock-up track from the classic game Marble Madness. The only restriction for this assignment was that we had to use all of the basic Deformers found in Maya. With this, I looked up the design for Marble Madness tracks and decided to model my own original one as opposed to one of the pre-existing levels. My original mock-up sketch I used as a reference can be found below. Since the sketch, the model has gone through numerous iterations and has become the final design shown.
Here are the list of deformers found in the video in order that they appear on the track:
Curve Warp - "Start" text arc
Lattice - Starting ramp for the marble
Flare - Trio of egg-shaped obstacles made from spheres
Bend - Railings on both sides before the rocky stairs
Sine - Sine ramp after the rocky stairs
Squish - Narrow bridge obstacle after the sine wave
Wave - Wave used to make the flag look like it is flapping in the wind
Twist - Supports used on the bottom all over the track
Texture - Ocean texture used to simulate a water look all under the track
